Today there was a march for peace held in Manhattan, New York City. The march was attended by individuals and groups representing a multitude of causes and interests, including trade unions, peace, health care, animals’ rights, education, employment and the environment. It was great fun for me to run around taking pictures and to see the creativity that many people put into the march–it was practically like Halloween
.
The march began around Broadway and Franklin Street, near Canal Street in China Town, and went past the New York Stock Exchange and ended at Battery Park. There was a breathtaking wind blowing constantly and if I had not been running around to get pictures, I would have been freezing cold.
The pictures are sequential from left to right.

After this last picture, taken at the entrance of Battery Park, as I proceeded to the subway, I nearly got swept away in a gale of wind, and ran gratefully into the shelter of the subway station and headed home. I had fun
